Hi Blog Friends,
Whew, been a busy week! We had an awesome adventure in Akron and Cleveland last weekend, what a fun time. We were exhibiting at the Akron "Adventures in Stamping" show and staying in Cleveland with Ted and Michelle, the owners of Stamper's Anonymous, Darcie's, Inky Antics and Art Gone Wild. I didn't get a chance to take photos of the booth for you, it was soooo busy at the show. But I did manage to get a few shots toward the end of the trip. Tim Holtz and Mario were in town for the show, and they had never been to Cleveland to see the factory. Ted and Michelle had some custom T-shirts made for everyone at the factory, and when Tim and Mario walked in.... they were greeted by the whole crew wearing shirts that said "We're enjoying our Journey... thank you Tim Holtz". Here's a photo of everyone:
Lol, we even managed to get Mr. Tom in the picture.... the factory's 3 legged "mouser".
One evening during the show.... we had an impromptu Happy Birthday/Happy Wedding celebration for Jackie, of Inky Antics.... although I don't think it was actually her birthday yet... however, she is getting married this weekend! Woohoo, congrats, Jackie... we want to see pictures! :)
The dinner was at the Wasabi Steakhouse in Akron, and it was a feast of grand proportions... I think I'm still full. Very yummy food:
Yup, that's all 18 of us at a table where they cook the meal in front of you... and put on quite a show. Starting in the upper left corner and going around the table clockwise is Michelle, Tim, Trevor, Ted, Katie...several of us hidden from view... Jan, Joyce, Margaret and Bill.
On Monday after the show, Ted and Michelle arranged to take everyone on a trolley tour of Cleveland. About 35 of us climbed aboard "Lolley the Trolley" and toured downtown Cleveland, which included a stop at a giant rubber stamp sculpture:
That's me, Mario, Michelle, Tim, Ted... and Ted and Michelle's kids, Trevor and Katie standing in front of the sculpture.
The tour also included a dinner in Little Italy for the whole gang and on the way home we talked the tour driver into letting us off at "Big Fun Toy Store", a store that specializes in toys from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's. It was fun to look at all the vintage toys and remember when they were new. Here's a photo from the store:
Like I said before.... you just never know what Ted is going to be wearing on my blog! Well, we do all think he and Michelle are Super Heros for all that they are able to accomplish... and for all that they did for all of us this weekend. Many thanks to both of you, it was a fun weekend!
I promised my Akron friends that I'd have a FREEBIE on the blog, so be sure to check back tomorrow for more information on how you can enter the drawing to win something fun.
See you soon!
Darcie :)
