Hey Blog Friends,
Last time Tonya and I were at the factory in Ohio, Ted let us bring home some Tim Holtz goodies, trinkets, and fun stuff. I wanted to combine it with some of my products, and we are finally at a point where we can play with some of it. Tonya wanted to make a necklace and I wanted to see it in a keychain. Here's what Tonya came up with:
Oooooooh, niiiiice, I like it! The shrink plastic embellishments on both of these projects are from my newest Shrink Plastic Project CD (which I featured in a previous post), item #CD202 "Enjoy the Little Things", retail $18.95. Tonya made a layered flower using the I-top tool and punches...and my papers PAC1353 Malta (the green center) and PAC1419 Brown Marchella for the blossom. I'll be sharing a little tutorial on the flower next week. The rest of the goodies are from Tim Holtz's Ideaology line: we used one of the Ornate Frames, the Ball Chain, and Jump Rings. We also grunged the edges of the shrink plastic embellishments (after they were shrunk) with Tim's Distress Inks in the following colors: Frayed Burlap and Worn Lipstick. When the necklace was finished, Tonya spritzed it with a Mini Mister filled with water and Perfect Pearls - Perfect Gold.
Here's the keychain:
In addition to my Shrink Plastic Project CD202, "Enjoy the Little Things", we also used Tim's Ideaology Swivel Clasp, Jump Rings, and the Word Keys.
Would you like another chance to win a FREE Shrink Plastic Project CD? Here's a photo of the cover of the CD:
If you'd like a chance at winning this CD, just post a comment to THIS blog post by midnight Tuesday, April 13. I'll randomly draw a winning comment on Wednesday, April 14 and post the winner's name. The winner will have until Friday, April 16 to claim their prize.... (gotta check it often, huh?). (I can only ship the prize to addresses in the U.S.A.)
Also, I'm thinking I should make one of these necklaces for Ted, since he was so kind to give us the products to play with. Hmmm, I wonder if he'll wear it.....
OH! Well, there you have it... apparently he WILL wear it. ;) And yes, he's still speaking to me after that last post.... although I AM still waiting for one more call back from him, lol. Hmmm, I doooo still have that picture of him from his Sumo wrestling days..... I bet if I bust that out on this blog, I'll get a call.....maybe not the kind of call I want, tho'......hehehehehe.
See you next week! I hope you have a GREAT weekend. We're going to start getting the ground ready in the garden if the weather cooperates. Have fun!
:) Darcie

Trying to make a hard decision right now, make dinner for my hubby or play with my new toys from the kit. These decisions could be difficult. Love everything in the kit! Thanks!

I have been looking at some of Tim Holz's new products every time I go into Archivers and Michaels. Wasn't too sure how I would use them so decided to wait and see if anyone would come up with some cute ideas. I see there are many. However, I do like the necklace, but I think it kind of clashes with Ted's mustache. So, it's gotta go....that IS, the mustache, the necklace is a winner. So looking forward to my package arriving, I see the club kit was deducted from my account, now, the agony of waiting begins.
