Today is supposed to be a day of silence for bloggers in support of Japan. I didn't see this link in time to post it BEFORE the day of silence... and I decided it was better to break that silence by posting this today.
I became aware of the earthquake moments after it happened, only because I have a son living in Hawaii and the tsunami sirens went off shortly after the earthquake in Japan. My son texted me to let me know, and I immediately turned on the TV. As a former native of Southern California and an unwilling participant in many of the huge earthquakes that area has experienced.... my heart went out to the people of Japan. I cannot even imagine an 8.9 quake, a 6-7 on the richter scale was, for me, absolutely terrifying to live through. As I watched the news for information on the pending tsunami and how it would affect Hawaii, I was shocked to see the devastation in Japan.

I was glad to see this information on my daughter in law's blog, and felt it important enough to pass along...even though it meant breaking the silence. If you can help in any way, head on over to www.forjapanwithlove.com. I know I'm going to.
Sending prayers to our Japanese friends, and all of those affected by the resulting tsunami and damage.
