Darcie's Club - Garden Bird and Le Fleurs Stamp Sets

Finally!  Sheesh, I thought I'd never get done with the website data.... but I'm verrrrry happy to report that it is all in the hands of the web designer and she's busy working her magic, creating a new site for us.... and for YOU!  So very happy.  I'll let you know when it gets close to being ready.

We shipped a new Darcie's Club Kit this month, so I thought I'd share some of the goodies the lucky Club members received:

The shipment includes an easy to follow Step-by-Step Instruction sheet for all of the featured projects.  

Each Darcie's Club shipment also includes a new template for making dimensional projects using the featured stamp set.  Here's the template included with this shipment:

The shipment contains everything you need to make the large Bird Pinwheel, shown above.

AND! With each shipment you also receive a quick and easy printed project, usually a gift bag or a dimensional project.  Here's the quick and easy gift project included with this shipment:

The cute little gift bag was made using this Jumbo U-Cut, also included in the shipment:

These Jumbo U-Cuts are printed on a 12" x 18" sheet of 80 lb. card stock.  Basically you just cut them out, score, and glue or tape together.  These are a great way to create unique packaging for your handmade gifts.

In addition to ALL of that, we also send a sheet showing you other projects made with the featured stamp set.  Many of the extra projects ideas are created with merchandise we've sent you in previous shipments, so you'll have new ideas for templates and products we've already sent you.  Here's a photo of the "extra projects" sheet:

Each shipment is only $26.99 plus $8.99 shipping.  There is no set term for membership, if you want to cancel at any time, you can do so by notifying us in writing.  If you receive a kit that you don't like or think you won't use, you can return it to us for a refund.  We will refund the kit price (but not the shipping costs).  The kits each contain over $40.00 worth of merchandise.

For Japan With Love

Today is supposed to be a day of silence for bloggers in support of Japan.  I didn't see this link in time to post it BEFORE the day of silence... and I decided it was better to break that silence by posting this today.

I became aware of the earthquake moments after it happened, only because I have a son living in Hawaii and the tsunami sirens went off shortly after the earthquake in Japan.  My son texted me to let me know, and I immediately turned on the TV.  As a former native of Southern California and an unwilling participant in many of the huge earthquakes that area has experienced.... my heart went out to the people of Japan.  I cannot even imagine an 8.9 quake, a 6-7 on the richter scale was, for me, absolutely terrifying to live through.  As I watched the news for information on the pending tsunami and how it would affect Hawaii, I was shocked to see the devastation in Japan.

Happy St. Patrick's Day - FREE Printable

Well, I was meaning to post much sooner than this.  I've been finalizing the data and photos for the new website, and it always seems to take much longer than planned.... MUCH longer, lol! Hopefully I'll be putting the finishing touches on everything this week. I think I said that before..... Fingers crossed!!

I was thinking it's time for a little free printable project for you. I had intended to post a different version of this last week so you could use it for St. Patrick's Day, but then I decided maybe it would be better to have it be more of a general year-round gift sack. So here it is, I hope you like it!

To download a pdf version of the templates, just click on the images above.  To open a pdf file you need to have Adobe Reader installed on your computer.  If you do not have Reader, it is available as a free download on Adobe's website. 

I used a little of Tim Holtz's Distress Inks (Weathered Wood and Shabby Shutters) on the edges of the gift sack and the edges of the cutouts, after cutting them out, but before assembling.

Last week I posted that my daughter in law, Alexandra, opened her new Etsy shop.

I am blessed to have 3 awesome daughters-in-law (and another awesome future daughter-in-law...November, can't wait!).  Alexandra, Mark's wife, is super crafty and uber talented... and has just opened her Etsy shop today.... on her birthday!  Happy, Happy Birthday, Alex!  In honor of that, I purchased one of her adorable checkbook covers to give to one of MY lucky blog followers.  :)
