Dear Madison, Wisconsin Friends...

I just got home from the Carson, California Original Rubber Stamp Convention and it's time to head out again, this time in the opposite direction.  I'm on my way to Madison, Wisconsin to exhibit at the One of a Kind Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook Show (click HERE for more info on the show or on the image below). 

I've never been to this particular show personally, but we've exhibited in the area before (Milwaukee), and Art Gone Wild has taken a "mini" version of my booth there the last couple of years. This time we'll be bringing the HUGE, FULLY STOCKED BOOTH (with lots of new merchandise)!  I've heard what a fun show it is, so I'm excited to get to be there this time. We are participating in the Make and Take Market Friday night, so if you're coming to the show that night you'll get a sneak peek and first shot at the new stuff!

These cute little ornaments were made using my new Shrink Plastic CD, #CD201 Deck the Halls ($18.95). Here's what the cover of it looks like:


The CD kit contains four sheets of Ink Jet Printable Shrink Plastic, a CD with over 150 Clip Art images and full step-by-step instructions.  I'll be sharing more of the CD with you and doing a little video demo when I get back from Madison.  I'm anxious to get back home so I can show you the amazing things you can do with the shrink plastic. It's perfect for making tags for packages, ornaments and embellishments.

Dear Carson California Original Rubber Stamp Convention Friends

We currently exhibit at approximately 30 stamp and scrapbook shows all across the country.  I'll be posting discount coupons for each show as the show date approaches....so this one is for my Southern California friends.  We used to exhibit at Carson for all three shows each year, but have cut back the schedule to once a year in that location.  I really miss my Carson friends, so I have a special treat for you...several different discounts and opportunities:

DISCOUNT #1 - The Come A Runnin' Discount and FREE GIFT
Carson is a show that's kind of famous for the women who line up outside the Convention Center for each show and when the doors open, they pretty much run through the halls to their favorite vendors.  We exhibited there for so many years, that each time we returned it was like seeing long lost friends.  Well since we haven't been in the area as much, I'd sure like to see my "Come A Runnin'" friends again.  So...the first 20 people who "come a runnin'" to the Darcie booth (first thing when the doors open EACH DAY) will receive an envelope AND a FREE GIFT.  Inside each envelope is a discount coupon, and the discounts will vary from 10% off your entire purchase to 50% off your entire purchase...in addition to the free gift.

Dear Cold and Flu Season,  I definitely do NOT have time for you right now.  Please go away.  I'm just hoping this is a normal, regular, run of the mill cold and not some bad virus-ey knock-you-on-your-rear H1N1 thing.  Shoot.
 
I wanted to show you the latest Darcie's Club shipment and since one of the projects we created with this set of stamps is a tissue box cover, I thought it would be appropriate right now.  Perfect little quick gift for the cold and flu season.

I colored the images using watercolor pencils.  If you're interested in the technique, I posted a video demo 3 posts ago or you can click HERE to view it.  I stamp the images on watercolor paper, and color them with the watercolor pencils.  I love the subtle shading effects that can be achieved with the pencils.

I like all of the stitching accents that Tonya added to these.  The sewing machine has become a permanent part of her desk, lol.  And how about a super quick little gift bag to pop a few candies in:

Well I guess it turned out to be nothing but TRICKS after all on that last post!! Several of you wrote to let me know you had trouble with the link from last Friday's post... I checked it here on two different computers and it worked, so I'm not sure what happened. Sooo....
