Dear Cold and Flu Season, I definitely do NOT have time for you right now. Please go away. I'm just hoping this is a normal, regular, run of the mill cold and not some bad virus-ey knock-you-on-your-rear H1N1 thing. Shoot.
I wanted to show you the latest Darcie's Club shipment and since one of the projects we created with this set of stamps is a tissue box cover, I thought it would be appropriate right now. Perfect little quick gift for the cold and flu season.
This Darcie's Club shipment included a Clear Polymer set of stamps (the next shipment will be the red rubber cling stamps again). It is set #POL15 Wagonload of Wishes:
And as you can see, it is very versatile with all the variations of sayings. The tissue box shown above is made from my pattern #XPT20 Tissue Box Cover, $6.99. Here's a photo of the cover of the pattern:
The pattern includes three different types of tissue covers; a square tall one, a standard tissue box cover, and a pocket tissue cover. If you're interested in ordering any of the items shown in this post, you can do so by calling 1-800-945-3980.
Here's a photo of a quick and easy little get well card to go along with that tissue cover:
And with all those sayings, there's dozens of way the words can be combined. Here's a quick and easy little Thanksgiving card: (It's kind of all about quick and easy this time of year, lol!)
Or here's another Fall variation:
I colored the images using watercolor pencils. If you're interested in the technique, I posted a video demo 3 posts ago or you can click HERE to view it. I stamp the images on watercolor paper, and color them with the watercolor pencils. I love the subtle shading effects that can be achieved with the pencils.
Here's another way to use the images for the holidays:
I like all of the stitching accents that Tonya added to these. The sewing machine has become a permanent part of her desk, lol. And how about a super quick little gift bag to pop a few candies in:
This one was made using my pattern #TTX01 Tab Top Boxes and it includes the round top gift sack in three different sizes. The one shown above in the small one. It retails for $5.99.
Here is the template that was included with this Darcie's Club shipment:
This one is pattern #XPT22 Gable Box pattern, it comes with 3 sizes of box patterns and it retails for $5.99.
OK, here are some other ideas for this set of stamps:
A Valentine for someone sweet! Or here are some birthday ideas:
Quick and Easy Card for someone special!
Here's another birthday idea, using pattern #PSX03 Jumbo Purse Pattern.
This pattern is featured in THIS post if you'd like to see more ideas with the purse pattern.
Whew! Can you believe all those projects? If you're interested in Darcie's Club and want more information on how you can receive brand new products, (before they're even released!) at approximately a 40% discount, click HERE.
Would you be interested in winning this set of Clear Polymer stamps for FREE? I'm thinking we need a few more followers on this blog, so I'm wondering if you would refer your friends to it? Let's do this: Leave me a comment at the end of this post stating who you referred the blog to (list your friend's name). Have your friend leave a comment, and have the friend list YOUR name in her comment at the end of this post. You can do this with as many friends as you want between now and Monday, November 16, at midnight Pacific Time. And...If you sign up to be a follower on the blog I'll enter your name in the drawing two more times, in addition to the comment entries. On Tuesday, November 17, I will randomly draw a winning comment. Both you and your friend will win the Wagonload of Wishes Clear Polymer Stamp Set, the Gable Box Pattern, and an assortment of my printed card stocks. Woohoo! Let's see how many comments and friends we can get on this one.
OK, I'm headed off to cuddle up with a warm drink and a blankie.
:) Darcie
Hope you are doing better, that you were able to kick that cold before it kicked you. From the comments, sounds like the convention was fun. Will watch for you to come to our neck of the woods. Thanks!

Hi Diane, Yup way too busy to get sick, trying to get all of the new Spring releases done. We have 70 stockings done, and another 150 cut out....was hoping to finish this weekend, but will see what happens. Everyone else helping was sick last weekend, so I didn't make a lot of headway. I'm traveling to trade shows for the next several weeks, so am definitely hoping it's not the dreaded H1N1 or something horrible. Thanks so much Diane, I appreciate the nice comments! ...AND thank you for joining the Club!
Posted by: Darcie Heater | 11/05/2009 at 05:22 PM
Uh oh, after seeing some of the other posts, yes you are too busy to get sick. How many stockings are left to be sewn? Good timing on the tissue box though. I did sign up for the club, now anxiously waiting (they called me today, easy form and I made a mistake).Hope you feel better soon! These samples are great, so cute, as always!!
