Last week I shared a couple of new stamp sets with you. Today I thought I'd show you some of the other products that coordinate with the stamp sets. Here's the two stamp sets:

And here's a photo of one of my new Acrylic Shadowbox Frames:

This frame is item #ACR25 Butterfly Frame, retail $9.99. Below is a photo collage and instructions for each step. I hope you enjoy!

Darcie's Butterfly Frame Instructions
Darcie's Acrylic Shadowbox Butterfly Frame - ACR25
1. Take the solid background butterfly and one of the filigree butterfly chipboard pieces and place them on a non-stick craft mat.
2. Use a makeup triangle sponge to apply a thin coat of Ranger's Claudine Hellmuth Studio Gesso to the solid background butterfly chipboard piece.
3. Apply to the entire background of the solid butterfly piece.
4. Place a small amount of Ranger's Adirondack Paint Dabber (Willow) onto the non stick craft mat. Pick up a little gesso in the sponge, dip it in the Willow Paint and smear around on the craft mat to blend. Apply to the solid background butterfly piece by pouncing up and down lightly.
5. Cover the entire solid butterfly piece, leaving a mottled appearance.
6. Using a makeup sponge, apply a thin coat of the gesso to one of the filigree butterfly chipboard pieces.
7. Apply a small amount of Ranger's Adirondack Paint Dabber (Willow) and Ranger's Adirondack Paint Dabber (Pool) to separate areas of the non stick craft mat. Pick up a little gesso in the sponge and then dip the sponge in Willow, smearing on the mat to blend. Dab here and there on the filigree butterfly piece. Repeat with gesso and Pool until the entire filigree butterfly is covered.
8 - 9. You should end up with a mottled appearance on both pieces.
10. Using an Ink Blending Tool with a Foam Pad, apply Ranger's Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink to the outer edges of the filigree butterfly piece.
11. Using an Ink Blending Tool with a Foam Pad, apply Ranger's TimHoltz Worn Lipstick Distress Ink here and there on the filigree butterfly piece.
12. Use Ranger's Archival Ink (Coffee) and the french background script from Darcie's Red Rubber Cling Mounted Stamp Set #JCS173 Ephemera Backgrounds to stamp the filigree butterfly piece.
13. Stamp the entire front of the filigree butterfly, re-inking the stamp as necessary.
14. Stamp the Take Wing saying on a piece of bright white card stock using Ranger's Archival Coffee Ink. Use a Ranger Heat It Tool to dry the saying. Lay the filigree butterfly on top of the stamped saying. Use a pencil to make marks (as shown) on the card stock in order to establish a cutting line.
15 - 16. Cut out the saying approximately 1/8" inside the pencil marks.
17. Using Ranger's Ink Blending Tools with Foam Pads and Ranger's Tim Holtz Distress Inks in the following colors (Faded Jeans, Worn Lipstick and Peeled Paint), apply the Distress Inks to the edges of the saying.
18. At this point you will have one green mottled solid background piece, one painted filigree piece and two unpainted filigree pieces. Glue the saying to the back of one of the unpainted filigree pieces.
19. Apply permanent adhesive to the back side of the unpainted filigree piece (the one with the saying glued to the back side of it). Attach this filigree piece (with the saying glued to the back side) to the front of the green painted background piece. Apply permanent adhesive to the front of this unpainted filigree piece.
20. Apply permanent adhesive to the front of the unpainted filigree piece (the ones that were glued together in Step 19). Attach the painted filigree piece to the top of this stack. Let dry. Add a few Iridescent Sparkles to the center opening and to some of the filigree openings.
21. Remove the protective blue film from the butterfly acrylic piece. Lay the acrylic piece on top of the background/filigree stack, aligning the edges.
22. Attach the metal frame clips. Attach the clips so that the shorter end of the clip (the side with no numbers on it) is on the top side of the frame.
Now all you need is that FREE stamp set I was giving away in the last post. How about if we do that right now?! Here's the winner:
Darcie, These sets are both beautiful, I really love the sentiments. Have fun in your garden. It's rainy and cool where I live.
