Sorry, I couldn't resist that title. :) With 4 sons and 6 grandsons, we HAVE to be Star Wars fans, right? Just thought I'd share what's happening in my yard right now....
Yup, bees! They're good for my big ol' garden, good for the shrinking bee population in the world.... and you get honey! What could "bee" better? I purchased these hive components from Shastina Millworks at their "dent and ding" sale after the Southern Oregon Beekeeper's Bee School class a few weekends ago. The hive boxes were unfinished pine. I really DID try to paint them plain white... I don't know how these things happen! Life is just one big craft project, right?!
Sooo, in celebration of Spring (and my new bee adventure) I thought I'd give you a chance to win one of my bee rubber stamp sets.

The beehive box is so pretty. colorful.
I'm sure the bees will love it. I can tell the difference in our area - so few bees any more. I guess that's "progress".
